Guided Backpacking Trips
Small-group backpacking trips built for adventure, capability, and connection.
The Basecamp Experience
Basecamp trips are designed to make backpacking feel approachable without taking away the adventure. You'll have the preparation, guidance, and support you need while still having the chance to learn, challenge yourself, and experience what it means to spend a few days on the trail.
The goal isn't just to get you through the trip. It's to help you leave feeling more capable than when you started.
Thoughtfully Guided from Start to Finish
Long trail days through forests and mountain terrain. Slow mornings at camp with coffee in hand. Shared meals after a full day outside.
Each trip balances challenge and downtime, giving you space to push yourself on the trail and actually enjoy where you are. You’ll hike, learn, eat well, and settle into camp alongside a small group of women who came outside for the same reason you did.
Your experience
You don't need backpacking experience to start.
Basecamp trips are built for women who want to get outside, try something new, or take their hiking experience farther. You should be comfortable hiking, but you don't need to know how to backpack before you arrive.
You'll get the preparation, guidance, and support you need to learn along the way.

Not at all. These trips are designed to be approachable for both first-time backpackers and those looking to build their skills and experience on the trail.

You should be comfortable hiking several miles and be prepared to carry a backpack over varied terrain. Each trip will include specific fitness recommendations, and optional trail-focused training is available to help you prepare.
-
Not necessarily. Rental options will be available for most major backpacking equipment, including packs, tents, sleeping bags, and sleeping pads. You'll need your own clothing, footwear, and personal items, and we'll provide a detailed packing list before your trip.
-
Trips are intentionally kept small, with 4–6 participants per trip. This allows for a supportive group experience and more personalized guidance on the trail.
-
Meals, trail snacks, and camp coffee are provided throughout the trip. Specific meals will be listed with each trip, and dietary restrictions can typically be accommodated with advance notice.
-
We're currently in the permitting process for our 2027 season. Trip locations will be announced in January 2027 and will feature some of our favorite backpacking destinations throughout the Pacific Northwest.
